Alaska has always been sparsely populated. For many, the extreme weather conditions were not for everyone. Then, something changed and people were attracted to it for a time. Droves of families decided to move to the northernmost city. Unfortunately, it’s been losing its appeal in the past few years and its residents are no longer liking the living conditions. The working age population has moved to Washington because of its proximity to bigger states such as California, Florida, and Texas.
