Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox started her career in the 70s in a band called The Tourists, but she didn’t truly make headlines until she put together the Eurythmics with fellow musician Dave Stewart. Much like Bowie, Lennox defied gender rules when she appeared in the music video of their hit single “Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This” wearing a man’s business suit with her short orange cropped hair. Throughout her years in the spotlight, she eventually went solo and continues to work on her music, as well as being a feminist, an activist for the LGBTQ community and those suffering from AIDS.
