Debbie Gibson made it huge when her songs “Only in My Dreams” and “Foolish Heart” back in 1988. Gibson was just 16 years old when she made it big, but what made it more impressive was the fact that she actually wrote and produced her own music. Just as quickly as her songs started toping the charts, she began touring all throughout America, selling out tickets everywhere she went. She eventually went into acting and did a number of plays on Broadway after that, as well as TV movies. Much like other 80s pop stars, the singer has posed for Playboy and dabbled with drugs, but despite that, she’s been able to a maintain a successful career since she first started in the business.
