One of America’s biggest heartthrobs in the 80s, Rick Springfield became famous both for his music and acting career. His number one hit was “Jessie’s Girl,” but he also became known for his role on soap opera ‘General Hospital,’ a short stint on ‘Californication’ and even did Broadway. What many might not know is that Springfield has struggled with depression since he was young and even attempted to hang himself when he was just 17. He wrote a memoir that made number 13 on the New York Times Best Seller List and continues to go on tour to play for his many fans.
