Tina Turner has had a long and illustrious career over the years, beginning as part of the Ie Turner’s band, Kings of Rhythm. Eventually, she and Ike would get together a few years after and quickly fell pregnant with their first child. Sadly for Tina, Ike turned out to be a horrible wife beater and cheater, and would physically hurt her over and over again. She was able to leave her husband and found fame in her solo career, coming out with hits like “Proud Mary,” “Private Dancer” and even more notable, “What’s Love Got To Do With It.” Tina is known for her dance moves, her electric performances and her boundless energy, and there’s even a Broadway show called ‘Tina. The Tina Turner Musical,’ which is all about her life.
