The Nigerian-born singer Helen Folasade Adu, known as Sade, actually studied to become a fashion designer and did a quick stint as a model. Eventually, she went into music and named her group Sade, and she became one of the most famous performers in the 80s. Her songs “Smooth Operator” and “Your Love is King” are just a few of her most popular ones. Although Sade stopped touring after 2011, she was asked to write music for the film ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ and actually a few others.
