With the fat paychecks of top NBA players, and their juicy endorsement deals, you would not think that they could possibly go broke. But according to Forbes, an estimated 60% of retired NBA players go broke within 5 years of their retirement. Talk about mismanagement of funds. Dennis Rodman was in the red until recently, when his net worth rebounded to $500,000. Back in 2000, he was ordered to pay $500,000 in back child support. Whatever happened to his estimated earnings of around $28 million? And that was just for playing basketball, there still were endorsements, TV appearances, etc. Well this “bad boy” of the court was also bad at handling his finances. Hopefully he can “rebound” from this “flagrant foul.”
