Some riches to rags stories are really shocking. When Teresa Giudice appeared on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she seemed to have it all. It seemed nothing could go wrong. But in 2009, it appeared something was amiss when Teresa and her husband Joe, filed for bankruptcy. More surprisingly, they cancelled the auction that would have paid back some of their creditors. The show continued to show her living a lavish lifestyle, as if the bankruptcy never happened. Making around $650,000 a season, one would think the couple would be able to get out of the hole. But things got worse from there. In 2013, they were indicted on 39 counts of fraud and tax charges. The Giudices pleaded guilty and served time behind bars. After serving time, Teresa tried to bounce back by returning to the show, and even shot a spin-off special, Teresa Checks In. But it seems she dug too big a hole, she was in the red for over $11 million.
