Diggy’s internet-breaking smile did not only catch the attention of news agencies in their area. Apparently, it had started to draw too much attention to him that it attracted the interest of the Waterford Township Police Department in Michigan. The authorities stumbled upon the photos and quickly sprung to action. This make us ponder, did they break any local law? As far as we know, Diggy only broke the internet. Unfortunately, we thought otherwise. Evidently, when Diggy’s photos reached the township’s police department, authorities became concerned as questions of the smiling pooch’s breed came into scrutiny. By local ordinance, Waterford, Michigan has a type of law which is a breed-specific legislation that bans pit bulls in the township after several mauling incidents involving the breed.
