The leatherback sea turtle is one of the heaviest reptiles in existence. Despite being called a turtle, they don’t have bone shells on them. Their skins are exposed all the time. On average, a leatherback can grow up to seven feet in length and can weigh as much as 1,500 pounds. Very little is known about them except for the fact that they feed on jellyfish. They can be found in oceans all over the world and many scientists are interested to learn more about them.
