Here’s another bony fish that’s both shocking and impressive in length. They can reach up to a gigantic 110 feet long, and the biggest one caught weighed 600 pounds. These deep-sea fish hardly every surface, but when they do, people are often caught off-guard because of their size. And because of their length, fishermen often mistake them as sea monsters or giant sea snakes. Very little is known about these mysterious creatures except for the fact that their diets mostly consist of krill, fish, squid, and other small crustaceans.
