The biggest ones can weigh almost 300 pounds, and in 2011, one was sold at an extremely high price. This dog was sold for $1.5 million to a Chinese. For them, owning this type of dog is a status symbol. It enables the rich to show off their money instead of the usual cars and jewelry. They also believe that these red dogs are lucky as they give their owners better health and security.
