Stingrays aren’t just found in the ocean. In fact, the freshwater variety is much larger than its saltwater counterpart. These stingrays can grow as tall as 16.5 feet long and it can weigh as much as 1,500 pounds. Its sheer weight alone is enough to crush you. Unfortunately, that tiny piece of information isn’t enough to deter large hunters from catching them. They’re now on the endangered species list and those who are working for its survival are working on a ticking clock.
