Mekong Catfish

Source: https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/

In May of 2005, two fishermen caught a giant catfish in the Mekong River of Thailand. They must have gotten shocked at the size of the catfish that they scored. It weighed a whopping 646 pounds and was almost nine feet long. This means that it was nearly as big as a grizzly bear. This catfish is the largest known freshwater fish. Unfortunately, it’s also up there in the endangered species list. Hence, people should do something about its safety and protection, or else the Mekong catfish will end up being a legend that the younger generation will only hear about.
