And yet another crab on the list, but this one is worth the mention because of its rather impressive size. The coconut crab is technically an anthropoid, it can scare those who have a fear of insects. That’s because this strange looking beast looks like it came straight out of a Stephen King novel. These crabs can weigh as much as nine pounds, and while most house pets can be heavier, this one can easily grow as big as your outdoor garbage can. That’s definitely not something you’ll want to see, and chances are, you won’t unless you live in one of the islands that dot the Indian Ocean.
