Jethro Tull’s Main Man

Groovy History

Some would say that classic rock was the best music era out there, and Jethro Tull was a jewel among the lot of bands rockin’ it out in the 60s and 70s. Unlike the other rock bands out there, Jethro Tull was a breath of fresh air from their use of a flute to their almost pied piper playing ways. Songs like Aqualung, Thick as a Brick and Locomotive Breath are refreshingly unique. And the crazy thing is that it actually took the band years to come up with their band name, having first started off as “Ian Henderson’s Bag o’ Nails” and “Navy Blue,” only to finally land on Jethro Tull, which thankfully, stuck this time. And incredibly, the band is still touring until this very day.
