During Reagan’s Presidency, first lady Nancy had a dinner in the White House inviting Princess Diana, Neil Diamond, Tom Selleck, Clint Eastwood and John Travolta, precisely so that Travolta could ask her to dance. And if you’ve ever seen the photo of Diana with Travolta, which shows them smiling and laughing while dancing, then you have to wonder what Clint Eastwood said to make her look at him like that. Supposedly, Eastwood told her that she was “too old” for him, which was strange considering she was just 24-years old at the time, and obviously he was already much older than her. But then afterwards, he reportedly said, “She made my day,” which is completely contradictory to his first statement.
