This particular model was made famous on the Cold War spy show, The Saint, and everyone wanted one, and Volvo didn’t make too many of them. In fact, less than 8,100 cars were manufactured and sold throughout North America and Europe. And while something like might not make for good advertising these days, back then, everyone wanted the chance to feel groovy, and what says “far-out” more than a pink hatchback Volvo?
