Dame Judith Olivia Dench is an English actress, artist, and author. Her professional debut was in 1957, and she performed in several Shakespeare plays such as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Ophelia in Hamlet, and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth. She established herself as one of the most significant British theater performers, working for the National Theater Company and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Needless to say, she has won numerous awards through almost 7 decades of stellar performances. She is best known for her role as M in GoldenEye (1995), and continued to play the role in the James Bond films until Skyfall (2012). She has also received many honours, such as Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Officer of the Order of the British Empire, and Member of the Order of the Companions of Honour. In 2013, she was listed as one of the Top 50 Best Dressed Over 50s, and she still continues to look so regal and alluring. She does like sporting a short hairdo, even when she was much younger.
