Dame Maggie Smith is an English actress with an extensive career on stage, film, and television for over 60 years. Undoubtedly one of the more popular actresses from the UK. She was made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II in 1990 for contributions to performing arts. Most of us know her for her role in the Harry Potter film series, but for the ones who can recall, she won six Best Actress Evening Standard Awards for her work on the London Stage. She has also been popular on screen since her film Nowhere to Go in 1958. Currently 85 years old, you could tell she was a beauty when she was younger.
