Walter Charles Dance is an English actor, screenwriter, and film director. He is best known for his role as Tywin Lannister of the popular Game of Thrones HBO series. But movie fans also remember him as the Master Vampire in Dracula Untold, Alastair Denniston in The Imitation Game, and as Frankenstein in Victor Frankenstein. His debut film as a writer and director was Ladies in Lavender in 2004, which starred Judi Dench and Maggie Smith. Dance was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2006.He was also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in the 1970s, and was in many of their productions in London. It was no surprise as he was very talented, and had the good looks as well.
