Dame Angela Lansbury is a British-Irish-American actress who has appeared in theatre, television, and cinema. She is popularly known for her character as Jessica Fletcher in the hit TV series “Murder She Wrote,” which ran from 1984 until 1996. She moved to America in 1940 with her mother and 2 brothers to escape the German bombing campaign against the United Kingdom.
