This small, cutely sad-looking dog was a companion dog for monks and royalty in Asia. They are cuddly and adorable, but can be stubborn and get bored easily. It seems they got used to all the pampering from royalty. They do not react well to punishment, so positive reinforcement training is needed, as well as patience. They are playful and a bit mischievous at times. They are intelligent, and their eyes reflect that when they look at you. It will seem like they are trying to analyze you. Either that, or are pretending not to understand you. Don’t let them fool you.
