These lovable breed is a favorite of most American families. They are great family dogs because they love children. But training it is a different story. They have a naughty streak, and can be difficult to control. It is a hound afterall. But  when the training is over and completed, the fun with this dog will be worth the toil and trouble. They require lots of attention and exercise. They need constant play companions, or get bored easily. The beagle also has a distinct odor. It may take time getting used to.
