Also called “Doxies”, Dachshunds love to play and nap. They are smart, but can be stubborn. They are very protective of their owners, and love to bark, snap, and bite. Training is a challenge, but once overcome, these dogs can be great family pets. They are surprisingly patient with children. Some kids like to pull on their large, floppy ears. Most doxies won’t snap at them. They will cry to be rescued though.
