They appear cute and cuddly, but these dogs are highly territorial. Their deep-wrinkly skin gives them their cuteness. But these were fighting dogs, and the wrinkles in the skin are an adaptation to protect them from bites from other dogs or animals. Sort of like a bite-proof vest. They don’t socialize well, and are not a friendly breed. More often than not, owners will have to restrain this dog from attacking visitors and other animals. This is not a good breed to have if you have other dogs or cats around. Be aware.
