Don’t Brag Or Flaunt

One of the worst things you can do in Denmark is act or think that you are special or better than anyone. In an egalitarian society, don’t appear to brag or boast about anything that you have or things that you have accomplished as this is seriously frowned upon. This also applies to praising yourself as this creates the impression that you are better than others. Danes don’t like calling attention to themselves so when they accomplish something, they are very modest about it and will even feel uncomfortable when they get praised for it. If you want to make friends here, it is best to leave your ego as there is no room for both.
