Don’t Be Too Spontaneous

When socializing with the Danes, don’t be offended when you get turned down if you invite them to go out for coffee or drinks without asking them in advance. Being spontaneous is not really what they are known for, as they prefer a more structured and organized schedule. You will most likely be turned down, with them saying that they have a schedule, like an obligation with the family, or they have already planned something else to do. If you happen to work in the country, it is better for you to attend events that are organized by your employer or company if you want to make friends or socialize.
