Don’t Ride A Bike When Intoxicated

Since bikes are ubiquitous and cheaper than using public transportation, it goes without saying that everyone has a bike. And since there’s no age restriction when it comes to consuming alcohol, it means anyone can drink anywhere at any time of the day. However, combining the two can get you in trouble, especially if you do so when there’s still a high amount of bike traffic that makes it harder for an intoxicated person. If you get caught and the police has determined that you are not able to ride safely, you can get fined 1500 DKK. You won’t lose your driver’s license, of course, but you may have to leave your bike and walk the rest of the way.
