Chivalry may not be dead, but it doesn’t mean that men need to help or assist women every time an opportunity arises like opening the door of a car or anything that may seem to be gentlemanly. In the household, men should not expect women to be the one doing most of the chores as the women in Denmark are empowered and takes pride in having a career of their own. Men and women have the same opportunities in the workplace, and women are not expected to just play second fiddle to men. This applies to all aspects of everyday life so if you happen to ride in a public transportation, don’t think you need to stand up and give up your seat for a woman, unless you see that you really have to.
