There are many historical places to see in Denver. But there is one perfect for car enthusiasts. The Fortney Transportation Museum has a little more than 600 artifacts of historical transportation. Bicycles, motorcycles, automobiles, locomotives, and even aircrafts are featured. But the main attractions are the different cars from different eras. Amelia Earhart’s 1923 Kissel “Gold Bug,” a 1923 Hispano-Suiza, a 1927 Rolls Royce, an 1888 Denver Cable Car, and a 1913 – 1953 Indian Motorcycle collection are popular. There is also a 500-piece Matchbox collection. So even if you are not a history buff, if you fancy motoring, this is a place you don’t want to miss.
