Most people are poor, and the poor have very little of enjoyable things to do. They don’t have ipads or iphones where they can spend hours on. Not all have television sets either. Most of the time they like to spend time in the streets. Particularly the children. You will actually see lots of kids playing in the streets with what little they have. However, they love their firecrackers. Don’t get shocked if you hear several bangs during the day or night. It may take some time getting used to, especially for those are jittery and get shocked easily. But that’s the way it is. Enjoy what Guatemala has to offer.
