When it rains, it pours in Guatemala. If you visit during the rainy season, chances are you won’t be able to do much…sightseeing or just walking around. Guatemala is known to have floods and mudslides when it pours. Especially during hurricane season. This is during May to July normally. There have been reports of fatalities due to flashfloods and mudslides. Some were tourists caught unprepared. Try not to be one of them. Being prepared and aware is prevention.
