Don’t Belittle The Guatemalan Beaches

Guatemala is not really known for its beaches. But that doesn’t mean that they are not attractive. While the may pale in comparison to the beaches of neighboring countries or the Carribean, they have their own unique and special attractions. For example, the huge waves at El Paredon make it a surfer’s paradise. If this is your fancy, make sure to visit it. Or you may like watching sea turtles hatch in the sand and make the journey back to the waters of the Pacific. You will enjoy this at Monterrico, one of Guatemala’s seaside villages. You may want to also visit the black sand beaches around. Just always be careful, you never know when undertows or riptides will happen. If you see warning signs, well, don’t swim in that area.
