Never Leave Your Bug Repellant Behind

While there are a ton of insects in New Zealand, thankfully none of them are actually deadly. But despite the fact that you can’t contract dengue or malaria while visiting, it doesn’t mean that you should leave your bug repellant at home. There are still tons of bugs, especially sand flies during the summer months, that are still incredibly annoying. Be sure to bring your bug spray along no matter where you go and spray some on all throughout the day and night.
