Yes, San Franciscans don’t take time seriously. Almost everything in The City is late – public transpo, shows, events, and people. It is their lifestyle, so get used to it. Even traffic time estimates are way off. It seems the city is lost in its own time. If you make an appointment with a local to meet up, don’t be shocked if they appear about an hour late. Or if you have an agreement with a delivery service, leave allowances for time. But it has some benefits. If you make a reservation at a restaurant and you are at least 30 minutes late, your table will still be there waiting for you. So relax, enjoy what the City by the Bay has to offer, and take your time. It is your vacation after all.
