Never Underestimate The Danger Of Sinkholes

Sinkholes can happen in San Francisco, especially during or after a rainstorm. Some are small, but still dangerous. Some can swallow up people, cars, and even homes. They can continue to get larger due to erosion and unstable ground. About 5 years ago, a sinkhole was caused by a broken water pipe. As workers were trying to fix the pipe, the surrounding roadway suddenly collapsed. There really is no warning, but an earthquake will surely serve as a warning sign.
