Marshfield Associates, which has an AUM of $3 billion, is based out of Washington, D.C. Visa is considered the world’s biggest payments processor, considering its position in the digital mobile payment and other types of cashless transactions all around the world. While the advisory firm already had a stake in Visa, they bought another 737,782 shares towards the end of the second quarter. Their 7.4% equity portfolio accounts for approximately $142.5 million. Billionaire Warren Buffet also has some stake in Visa, with almost 10 million shares for Berkshire Hathaway.
