Warren Buffett is known for buying stocks in gold investment companies, but he isn’t the only billionaire to do so. Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates (AUM $235.6 billion) has also bought quite a lot of shares of SPDR Gold Shares. In the second quarter, Dalio purchased another 1.4 million shares, bringing the total to 5.5 million worth over $910 million. These SPDR Gold shares also account for 15.3% of the equity portfolio of Bridgewater Associates. And given the ongoing pandemic, investing in gold is supposedly one of the best assets that firms can make.
