With an AUM of $2.4 billion, New York hedge fund Encompass Capital Advisors has invested quite a large amount into CVR Energy. They bought 572,066 shares, which cost them $11.5 million in total. While they only account for 1.5% of the company’s portfolio, another 71% is owned by Carl Icahn’s Icahn Capital, which has the top stake in CVR. Unfortunately, stockholders have recently seen a drop of at least 51% over the last 12 months leaving some concerned, but this also makes it more attractive to other possible stock buyers.
