As surprising is it might sound, Chipotle Mexican Grill has managed to climb the chain of revenue for top chain restaurants, despite the many issues it had over foodborne illnesses that occurred around five years ago. The San Francisco hedge fund, Park Presidio Capital (AUM $1.6 billion) bought 55,000 shares of Chipotle worth at least $57.9 million during the second quarter. The acquisition now accounts for 6.5% of the equity portfolio for Park Presidio Capital. Despite sit down restaurants and eating establishments getting hit hard by coronavirus, Chipotle has managed to continue to attract big time investors to their brand.
