HCA Healthcare handles the operations of hospitals, emergency care centers and other medical clinics and establishments. They’ve had a recent stake boost with hedge fund Appaloosa Management (AUM $13.5 billion) choosing to buy 765,000 additional shares, bringing their total share holdings to 1,050,000. Despite what seems like a large investment, it only accounts for 0.3% of HCA’s outstanding shares. The company supposedly attracted new investors since they stopped buying back their own shares.
