Vaseline as a Paw Protectant

Source: https://petcentral.chewy.com

During winter or just when they are walking a lot, dog’s paws can crack and create discomfort for the dog. One quick remedy is to use Vaseline to protect their paws and in cases where their paws already have cracks, Vaseline can help in the healing process. The dog’s paws should be washed thoroughly, then cleaned with a cotton gauze, you should then let it dry. Once the dog’s paws are dry, Vaseline can be applied. This is ideally done after a walk or when the dog is resting.
Dogs have an instinctive habit of licking their paws. You may worry that something may happen to your dog if they ingest Vaseline. There is no need to worry, since Vaseline is 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, all potentially carcinogenic contaminants have been removed. The same cannot be said for other petroleum jelly products.
