As for this cake, it seems to be another case of the expectation looking so much better than the reality. The two cakes in the photo have similar qualities—they are both four-tiered and encased in white icing, with a lime green stripe around the bottom of each layer and lovely red flowers for contrast. However, the cake on the right does not look like the cake on the left. It is nowhere near the same cake, in its appearance or in its craftsmanship. While the cake on the left is smooth and stable-looking, the one on the right looks like it is balanced precariously, and the icing work is lumpy. Here’s hoping the couple were not too disappointed in their order!
