Author, activist, model and television host Padma Lakshmi is the co-founder of Endometriosis Foundation of America. She said that her condition was “definitely a major reason” for her divorce from author Salman Rushdie. An outspoken advocate for education, her foundation aims to improve the awareness about the disease and help raise funds to improve research that would benefit medical professionals and patients. Endo Foundation also hosts an annual fund-raising event called the Blossom Ball. Attended by the likes of Hailey Bieber, Fran Drescher and many more.
