One of the world’s best known UNESCO World Heritage sites is that of Mont Saint-Michel, an island found in Normandy, France. The fort turned monastery gets over 3 million visitors annually via the road that now leads people there. But back in the day, getting there literally changed with the tides. When it was low tide, people could actually walk it, but as soon as the tide would come, it was only accessible by boat, which this drone photo portrays perfectly.
