Smart is a German automotive brand and division of Daimler AG.  The company is based in Bobligen, Germany.  It is known for producing microcars and subcompacts, primarily the ForTwo.  Conversely, the ease in parking this micro-car and decent fuel economy are some of its redeeming value.  However, for the latter, savings at the gas station are negated by the Smart ForTwo’s need for premium grade fuel.  While this vehicle is affordable, it is among the lowest-scoring new cars in reference to Consumer Reports for its under-powered engine and jumpy transmission.   It is not a smart choice after all.
