Symptoms Of Liver Cancer

Liver cancer refers to any cancer that originates in your liver. Usually, the term refers to hepatocellular carcinoma or hepatocellular cancer (HCC) which is the most common type of liver cancer. Liver cancer progresses slowly, and most people do not have any signs and symptoms in the early stages of the disease. When symptoms do appear, they include jaundice, itchy skin, abdominal pain and swelling, unexplained weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, general weakness and fatigue, tendency to bruise easily, and white, chalky stools.

Keep in mind that many of the symptoms of liver cancer resemble the symptoms of other less serious conditions. Still, it’s a good idea to see your healthcare provider as soon as you notice any of these symptoms since earlier diagnosis and treatment may reduce your risk of complications.
