The next day Terry Jo spotted a small red plane circling overhead, which she thought could be a rescue plane that was looking for her and for the other survivors, if there were others out there. She took off her blouse and frantically waved at the plane with it. When it turned towards her, she thought she’d been spotted. But it flew right past. The young girl was left feeling downtrodden because it was the glimmer of hope that she had. She knew that help was gone when the plane just disappeared.
