Multi-awarded actress and advocate, Jodie Foster, was praised for coming out on the televised stage during the 2013 Golden Globes. She expressed, “By our stand, you are not out until you are publicly out.” She added, “Even though she danced around being a lesbian, at least it’s finally done.” Foster’s speech was glorious, funny, and authentic. “I’m just gonna put it out there loud and proud” as she builds-up rapport and snatched away the “I am gay!” pronouncement with “I am single. Yes I am. I am single.” Then she was received by the audience with laughter and resounding applause. The revered actress with great talent has just started to reveal her true self and it was raw.
